It also boasts the remains of a prehistoric forest, small parts of which are occasionally visible still at a very low tide.

Tarr Steps

Tarr Steps are a prehistoric clapper bridge across the River Barle in the Exmoor National Park. There are several picturesque walks to be taken alongside the river.

Wimbleball Lake

Wimbleball Lake is without doubt one of Exmoor's greatest assets and since the reservoir's creation, in the mid 1970s, the 374 acres of water have been a magnet for watersports lovers.
